WHEW! I'VE DONE IT

The "Amour" Valentine Swap is closed and everyone participating has their swap partners. Let's keep our fingers crossed that all the beautiful creations get to each person with no problems. I'm really looking forward to Valentine's Day when we can take an "Amour" stroll through the blogs to see what a little "LOVE" can do.

Now, I have some really exciting news. I've decided to give myself a little vacation. Just when I can't take another snowy, rainy, cold, wintery day, I'm going to fly down to Jennifer Hayslips
"Petticoats and Parasols" event in Savannah.

From April 22 - 25th, Jennifer will be hosting a wonderfully creative weekend.

I haven't been able to attend either "Silver Bella" so I am NOT going to miss this event! It is going to be full of everything a girl could want. Cupcakes, glittering, shopping, creating, a vendor faire, good food, more shopping, and giggling with the girls. And the best part, it will be WARM. There will be a Haunted Mansion tour and everything! I'm so into this!!!

The event will be held at the Ford Plantation. Just look at this place.
How can you pass this up?

And the famous Jo Packam, writer of the infamous book "Where Women Create" and the Magazine by the same name, will be a Guest Speaker.  I'm sure her words of encouragement and experience will resonate with each and every one of us attending.

Won't you join us? Click here for all the wonderful details and to sign up now!
Seating is limited ladies, so come on and let's glitter, glue, eat cupcakes and play together.

  3. Hi Cathy, looks like fun, I will be looking forward to reading all about it and seeing all the prety pics you gals take and put on your blogs! The Plantaion looks beautiful. I think I met Jo Packam years ago at a needlework trade show. I used to own a needlework shop before moving to WV and often attended trade shows to do my buying. She has published some beautiful needlework books.

  5. Good for you. I've heard it is a fabulous event and you'll get to meet some really sweet women like Joanna...Love that photo of her and Jo Packam at Silver Bella this past year. I was fortunate to hear her speak @ that luncheon and she was fabulous. You'll enjoy listening to her words of wisdom.

Thanks for all your hardwork making the swap possible. My partner and I have already emailed and checked out each other's blogs!

  10. Hi Cathy,
Oh sweetie I hope your holidays were special and your new year even better. I wanted to join your swap, but just could not fit it in this time. So sad for me, but thank you so much for letting me know. I know it will be a huge success and lots of fun for all.
Glad to hear you are going on a special get away to the warm climate and girly fun. It will be great to hear Jo Packham speak too. She emailed me a few times about visiting my studio. She is so very nice. You will love her.
Have a great time and looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing pics.
    Have fun!
Hugs and blessings to you sweet friend.

  12. What a great event! I am sure you will have a great time. I am in the Swap, but I cannot seem to find a heart box that size. Hopefully, I can get to Hobby Lobby this week? What do I do if I can find one? I did by to 4" hearts, could I connect them together?
    Have a great day!
