DISPLAYING GIFT TAGS
I am searching for a lovely way to display the many different sizes, shapes and styles of the hand made gift tags I receive from fellow bloggers during swaps, etc.
There are so many art groups that make and exchange hundreds of these amazing creations. How do you display them so you can enjoy them every day? Would you mind sharing your ideas with me?
I'm in need of some inspiration. Just leave me a quick message here with your suggestions or a link to your blogs with photos of how you display them in your own homes.
Thanks for the help and don't forget to click on the "Follow Me" ---> link for your chance to win my $100 Give-Away. As soon as I reach 500 followers, the lucky winner will be announced.
Thanks everyone!

I'm with you, Cathy ~ let me know what ideas your friends come up with. Mine are just in an old beautiful box right now, but I've thought of displaying them on an old gate or chicken-wired gilt frame, etc. No time yet to do that, tho.
ReplyDeleteHow is husband doing? I'm still keeping you both in my prayers, dear friend.
Big TX Hugs,

Hi Cathy, I take tags that are approximately the same size and put a ribbon through them all and make little books out of them, you can even make a cover and backs, they look beautiful. I hope your husband is doing better and that you both had a lovely Easter. Hugs, Terri
ReplyDeletemorn'n Glory!
ReplyDeleteI have a lot of tags and atcs that I dont have displayed. Scrappy Jessi has a unique way of displaying them. Youd have to hope over to her blog and look around for a pic, or just ask her, but I think she uses like a little wire garden gate type thing that she has them all clipped on to.
have a great day~

Hello Cathy, hope your doing wonderful ... I have no great suggestions for your tag display... I do think the large frames made into memo boards with fabric and ribbon crisscrossed across them are very nice looking. Just stick your tags behind the ribbon and there you have it a nice way to display your tags.. hugggggggggggggg sheila
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post and a beautiful blog!
One way we display altered art tags is putting a pinch of removable sticky-tack on the back and attaching them to the border of our vanity mirror. It is always a happy thing to see favourite images when one wakes up and gets dressed in the morning.
Thank you for sharing your romantic and gorgeous blog!

Cathy,
ReplyDeleteYou are just the sweetest thing! Thank you so much for your kind and honest words..great advice and I will work even more in those areas.
As for your tags...I have so many from dear friends too that I keep a new Vintage looking 24" feather tree and I have tied or hung them on it. I keep it in my studio as a sweet reminder of my friends to keep me inspired. Hmm...I just might have to post about that!
Have a blessed day my sweet friend!
Thanks again...Lorena
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI have a table in my sewing room. It is white wrought iron with a glass top. I cut a thin piece of plywood, painted it white and put it under the glass. I display all sorts of things there; gift cards, drawings by my grandchildren, little bits of vintage sewing...How about a coffee tray with glass on top over the tags?
Susan
I think they are super neat on lamps--hanging off the edge like fringe!

ReplyDeleteIn response to your request, I had to do some backtracking. I don't know if you're familiar with Elizabeth at Creative Breathing, but last year she asked for her friends to each send her a 5" square, made in each person's creative style. Elizabeth would send each one who responded a block that she herself created. As she got all of these blocks in, she began to make a banner around her whole craft room with them. It was great fun as they came in, and Elizabeth would show them to us in batches! It sounds like you already have your tags, you just need to figure out how you want to "connect" them together and make your own banner!
Or you could put them in a photo album, but with nothing behind them, so both sides could be viewed if need be.
Whatever you choose, just please be sure to let us see! Oh, and here's a link to Elizabeth's first post on her banner/garland:

When you get to the bottom, look at the labels and click on 'summer block party' to find the rest of the posts on this. But why stop there? She's got lots & lots of wonderful photos and stories!
