DO YOU BELIEVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER?

I'm not always very good at having faith. When times are difficult and we have more on our shoulders than we can bear, we ask ourselves "why is this happening to me" or "why is this happening to the person I love".

I am asking my friends and strangers alike (if you read this post), please say a prayer for my sweet husband Mike. He is in desperate need of them as he is not well. I am powerless in my ability to help him which leaves me in complete devastation. If you can find it in your hearts, please ask God to shine his light on my best friend and husband.

I don't know what else to say except "thank you".

  1. This is one of my favorite prayers, The Footprints of God.

In deepest sleep one night I dreamed that on the beach I walked. God was by my side each step and quietly we talked. Then on the sky my life was flashed; the visions all serene. Two sets of footprints in the sand were there in every scene. But then I noticed in some scenes of suffering, pain and strife just a single set of footprints at the worst times of my life. God, you said you'd stay by me in good times and in bad, why then did you leave me each time my life was sad? My precious child, God answers, when your life had pain, I knew. The single set of footprints were the times I carried you.

    God is carrying you.

You both are in my prayers.

    God bless,
    Marsha

  2. I definitely believe in the power of prayer! I have learned that an "up" look can make all the difference in your outlook! Phillippians 4:6-7 says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, present your requests to God. And the peace of God that transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus." I am praying for your husband.

  19. I believe IN prayer.. I said one for Mike. God gave us bodies Wondrously made.. Made to heal themselves.. Just go over to http://www.hacres.com/home Read all of this. Go to the testimonies.. I have MS and I do not want them pumping my body full of the meds they use for MS.. POISON.. But by the Grace of God I can have a better life with MS by feeding it living foods. It don't hurt to read.. See what you think.. You do not have to purchase anything to eat living foods.. Just apply the principles God gave us IN THE BEGINNING.. With much love and Prayer and Hugggggggggggggggs Sheila

Kathy, My DH and I pray together each morning before we start the day and wanted you to know we prayed for your hubby. God is so able to conquer any burden in our life - our prayer is that he will rest in the bosom of Jesus and receive all the strength from HIm alone.

  26. Cathy,
I am so sorry to hear about your husband's illness. Both of you will be in my thoughts and in my prayers and I will add his name to the Book of Intentions on Easter Sunday that is taken up to the altar at mass and those people in the book are prayed for by the whole congregation. Of course, the nurse in me is wondering about what is wrong and his treatment but I respect your privacy. I pray that the Dr.'s will know what is the best treatment and he will be well soon.
    Hugs,
    Debbie

  30. Dear Sweet Cathy,

If there is one thing I truly believe in is faith and prayer and above all God. I'm so sorry that your hubby is not well. Whatever it is I will be praying for him and for you as well. I know it must be so hard on you and especially when it is someone who is dear to you. Cathy I can assure you that if you speak to God and ask him for help he will hear you. Just say it from your heart. I am reading this wonderful book that has truly changed my life for the better. Cathy I only wish everyone would read it. It's called Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. It sold over a million copies years ago. I found it at the library and it was the best book I could have found. I no longer think negative and believe with all my heart that my life is on the right path because I put my trust in the Lord. If you can Cathy get this book. I promise you won't regret it. And it can help you fix anything that is wrong in your life. I wish you a Happy Easter and you know I am your friend always. Sorry I have not been in touch sooner. With the move and all I have been so busy, but thank God all is well.
Talk to you soon my friend. XXOO
