Magical Days - Part Two

OH THE CANDY!

One day on our vacation I thought it would be fun to take some photos of JUST SWEETS. If you know me, then you know I adore anything sweet, fake or real. My home looks like a real candy store, but I so enjoyed taking pictures of the candy store on
Main Street USA
DisneyWorld
Magic Kingdom

Have fun kids.

Wouldn't this be just the best job?
Playing with candy all day.

I had to buy some of these pink and white Lollipops.
They were so pretty and huge.

Magical Days - Part One

FRENCH QUARTER - PORT ORLEANS
Disney World, Florida

My hubby and I just returned from a fabulous vacation in Florida. Although the heat was far beyond what we expected (95 degrees everyday with 95% humidity), we still managed to enjoy an early 10th Anniversary celebration.

We arrived on Sunday, October 4th and were shuttled to our hotel, Port Orleans, French
Quarter. It was amazing. It was balmy and beautiful and felt like paradise. The atmosphere was New Orleans Mardi Gras with a touch of French Flair. So far this was the best Disney hotel we ever visited. I did my very best to take as many photos as I could in the outrageous heat. I hope you enjoy them.

Welcome to our vacation tour....

Mike happy to be on vacation!

How cool are the colors on the walls of our hotel, so sugary sweet

This was the entrance to our jacuzzi.
As beautiful as an English garden.
And the jacuzzi was heavenly.

The adorable fake lizards playing instruments on the path to the pool.

The pool view from our bedroom.
The water was warm and so refreshing.

A lovely fountain on one of the side streets leading to other rooms.

The street outside our hotel room leading to the the jacuzzi. Oh yeah!

Dusk on our street.

OMG!! Just loved the street signs....
How awesome is this "Cafe au Lait Way" sign.

... and this "Cake Walk" street sign. Too cute.

How French and Victorian chic.
This was the sign to our Gift Shop. Loved it!

We love to hear your comments, so please leave
them if you enjoyed this post.
Much more to come tomorrow!
The candy and our Trick or Treating Night at Disney World.
What a blast.
Enjoy everyone.

IT'S LIKE CHRISTMAS MORNING

...here at the Scalise household!

Last Tuesday I was interviewed at our home here in Wilmington, MA by one of the local newspapers. The newspaper contacted me and asked if they could come and photograph my artwork for a feature. When they arrived, they were thrilled to see our "Pink Fairy Cottage" nestled in our pretty English garden.

We just picked up our copy and our feature was the entire front page of the "Style" section. This amazing coverage will be in about 10 local newspapers today. I just couldn't wait to share my excitement with all of you. It was very unexpected and we are thrilled to pieces. Here is what it looks like!

Romantic Country 09

FALL HAS ARRIVED
after a long rainy summer.

You might have noticed that I haven't been blogging, flickering, creating, tweeting or posting new product for the past several months. After 10 years of working 24/7, I knew it was time for a much needed break. I spent the cool, rainy summer months designing and creating several new lines of gorgeous treasures which I will be unveiling throughout the holiday season into Spring of 2010. I am extremely excited about my new line of creations and I know you will be too.

Now for some EXCITEMENT.
Several weeks ago I received an email from Fifi O'Neil, (Editor Extraordinaire of "Romantic Country" magazine) informing me that my "Pink Heaven", vintage ornament wreath was going to be featured in "Our Favorite Finds" section of the upcoming holiday edition. Needless to say I was beyond excited. What an exciting way to usher in the holidays.

I practically attacked my postman when I saw his truck pull up. There it was in all it's glory featured on Page 15. The picture is so big and beauitful, you can't miss it. In addition to this lovely wreath there will be new and exciting products added as fast as I can get them photographed and uploaded. "Pink Heaven" is currently for sale at my "Elegance and Whimsy" boutique, where all my creations are "one-of-a-kind" and never duplicated.
Click on photo below to purchase.

I also want to give huge kudos to three amazingly talented friends whom were also featured in this issue. Their beautiful homes and holiday decorations are stunning and I know you will all enjoy their stories, their homes and their amazing talent.
