HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

Hi Everyone and Happy Pink Saturday.

This week I had the opportunity of meeting the super-talented Ms. Heidi Wallingford (Birds of a Feather). We live about 20 minutes from each other and we finally had a chance to meet and play together. I emailed Heidi last week and asked her if she knew anyone in the area that taught soldering classes and she replied that she taught them at her home! How perfect was that. Only 20 minutes from my humble abode and I arrived at Heidi's stunning house and was soldering charms.

Soldered jewelry and charms are definitely "up there" as some of my favorite trinkets to collect these days (so addicting), so I figured it was time for me to see if I enjoyed making them before I purchased all the supplies.

We had so much fun chatting and soldering, playing with pieces of vintage wallpaper, glitter, lace and posies. I made my first two charms. One is very simple, and the second was my first attempt at a 3-D charm. I LOVED SOLDERING and Heidi was a great teacher. I can't wait to purchase my supplies and make some of my very own designs for my themed wreaths.

If you are attending Cassandra's "Marie Antoinette" event in Florida come February, you will be meeting sweet Heidi in person as she will be teaching one of the several classes being taught at this "over-the-top" event.

Heidi was so sweet, so kind, amazingly talented and beautiful human being. I was honored to receive one of her "Original Marie Antoinette" fabric doll kits to take home with me. I've posted a picture of her beautifully packaged kit below. You should see Heidi's completed doll - 2DIE4. You can visit Heidi's Etsy shop and grab one up for your very own. The kit will arrive with everything you need to create a stuffed "Marie" doll with your own special stitching and embellishing style.

Today, I'm also showing off the pink Mermaid cuff bracelet I made for the Mermaid Event in CA and an awesome set of vintage Pink Poodles I snapped up at the Flea Market in LA during the trip. I hope you enjoy and have a wonderful weekend.

DON'T FORGET TO SIGN UP IN THE POST BELOW FOR MY GIVE-AWAY
THE WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED TOMORROW.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY EVERYONE!

I decided to fly out to CA one day before the class began since I need to recoop the time change and I'm not a big fan of flying and pulling my luggage all over the place. When we arrived, Cynthia picked us up at the airport and had an afternoon of wonderful stops planned for us. No time for napping! Sightseeing, shopping and snacking. Here are some awesome pics of two of my favorite shops; "Cupcake Couture" and "Paris to the Moon". I hope you enjoy the whimsical treasures I photographed.

Treasures, Swaps and Gifts

The Mermaid weekend was jam packed with amazing eye candy, either to buy or make! The vendor night was amazing. I didn't have a chance to photograph each of the vendor tables since I tend to get overwhelmed and cannot think on my feet with a camera in my hand. Shop ~ take pictures ~ Shop ~ take pictures! I'm sure you know which one of those two ideas wins out!

I am completely amazed at some of the mermaid blogs and how they thought to take pictures of each and every person, all the vendor tables, every minute of the event, and all the highlights of this wonderful weekend. I, on the other hand, could barely contain the minute to minute sensory overload of what was taking place. So here I am, doing my best to bring you more photos of the beautiful class projects I finally finished, a few gifts from some loving friends and a couple of items I purchased.

Beautiful Mermaid Weekend

It's been quite a few days since I have had the chance to blog and I so miss it. I thought you ladies might enjoy seeing some recent pictures of Kim Allistair's "Mermaid Event" I attended in mid-July. The weather was perfect and it was a blast.
Here are a bunch of pictures of the fabulous event. Enjoy!

Sweet Cynthia, whom I met at Jenn's "Petticoats & Parasols" Event in Savannah picked up my room-mate Charlene and I and took us to some of the most amazing shopping spots in LA. Every place from discount ribbon and trim shops to a gourmet cupcake bakery. My favorite shops were "Paris to the Moon" and "Cupcake Couture". SO MUCH EYE CANDY!

MORE OF MY ADVENTURES TOMORROW!

I'M BACK IN THE MOOD

I know it's very hot and a bit early to start thinking of the snowy, cold winter-time, but I'm in the holiday spirit. My Glitz and Glam station is a wonderful place to create on a hot summers day. It cool and comfortable. So I thought I would start making a few new Christmas treasures for you.

"Mary Christmas" is the first wreath in my new line of smaller, more affordable, one-of-a-kind, themed wreaths. I just love the way this came out. It is about half the size of my large wreaths (22-24"dia), but has just as much charm and treasures. At approximately 12" diameter, "Mary Christmas" is perfect to place on a photo stand mixed in and amongst your other holiday treasures, or hung on a wall during the holiday season.

She will arrive safe and sound at your home covered with a light dusting of vintage mica snow and a touch of glitter. I know you will just love her. If you would like to order one similar, please email me directly and I will do my very best to make one up with a lovely "Lefton" holiday figurine.

Keep cool and enjoy the holiday treasures I have posted for your pleasure.

"WHERE BLOGGERS CREATE" &
"PINK SATURDAY"

Welcome to the Party hosted by Karen Valentine of "My Desert Cottage". This is the second year Karen has given amazingly, creative bloggers a chance to show off their creative spaces for everyone to see.

Jo Packham of "Where Women Create" will choose three winners from over 450 entrants. Click on the banner below to see the entire list of participants and the amazing prizes. Thanks to Karen's amazing idea and all her efforts we will all have a chance to see the creative spaces in hundreds and hundreds of artist's homes. I hope you enjoy your visit with me today.

Several years ago when I opened my first online website Treasured Heirlooms, I had an extra guest bedroom where I used to fool around and create and photograph my pretties. As time passed, it was clear that this guest bedroom needed to be transformed into my Office/Studio. Hubby and got to work and added a much needed counter space for our computers and office supplies. In place of the bed we brought in a lovely oak table where I could create my treasures in front of the windows.

The space was lovely and still is, but my business has progressed and so too has my need for work space. Here are the photos of my Office/Studio and a down below you will be invited into my Glitz & Glam workshop.

I hope you all enjoy the pictures and just a few of the thousands of items I've created and sold over these past five years. Thank you all for your friendship and your dedication as returning customers. As always, without you my online boutiques would cease to exist.

Enjoy the view my friends.

Now onto some photos of my Glitz and Glam station.

My home is a very small Townhouse so space is limited. As my business began to grow, I was forced to find more room to house all of my supplies for my "Themed Wreaths", "French Princess Centerpieces", "Crowns", "Marie Antoinette" creations, and whatever else I choose to work my "Magic".

Anyone who knows me and my work is well aware that I am a "Glitter-aholic" (and I mean that in a good way!) I don't know one Pink Fairy who doesn't love glitter, do you? Almost every creation which leaves my home has at least one little sprinkle of "fairy dust" somewhere on it so I can give a little of my magic powers to you.

Here is my newest space, which I've only just begun to decorate. Hopefully I will have more time this summer to finish what I've started. But I wanted to give you all a glimpse of where I play everyday.
