PINK FAIRY COTTAGE

Dear Diary,

I am so cold and feel so lonely. Everyone thinks that I am so pretty and happy all the time. They want to come to play and have tea with me. If they only knew what I really looked like when I'm undressed. Well, not completely undressed, I do have my undies on (leaves that is). No make-up, no jewelry, no frills, no where to sit and have tea, even the hammock is hiding somewhere with all the rest of the pretty fufus that are usually hanging out here with me. Even Mr. Gnome is gone to warmer climes! Jeesh...

Boy I miss my friends so much. The birds, squirrels, peepers, chipmonks, and bunnies aren't running around and eating things that are "off limits". The roses, foxgloves, poppies, lavender, sweet pea and all the herbs are hiding too. Why don't they come out to play with me? Is it because I am faded and need a fresh paint job? Hmmm, I don't get it, but I'm going to ask the WIND and the COLD because I know the have the answer. I am going to ask them to please "GO-AWAY" really soon because I miss Cathy and Mike alot and I really miss my twins, Gabriella and Michael. They popped in the other day to check things out, but were disappointed that there was no where to sit inside the Pink Fairy Cottage.

Well I hope all of my trusted friends will follow along my 2008 transformation. There will be a smashing new look here at the Pink Fairy Cottage. I think I'm going to have an "Iced Tea Party". You're all invited. Details coming soon...... tata for now my sweet friends........

Thank you so much for visiting my site. Yes, I love that old tub with the herbs in it too. You know for a few years I had a beautiful blue porcelain tub for my herbs. It was given to me by a farmer friend but eventually it practically disintegrated and then i was forced to revert to plastic which never breaks down. At least though, it had been used before by fishermen to hold their catch. Please visit me again. I am fairly new to this sort of thing but I am determined to make it work. I am retired now bu I loved the female contact at work and miss it.

Hi Cathy, I think you need to hang one of my vintage pillowcase dresses in your pink fairy cottage. :) I know in just a few short weeks that pink house will be totally transformed. Please visit me again to see what one short week did to my garden. Congratulations on your Oprah tickets. You deserve them and more. Pink Hugs, Lynn

Oh, you poor little Pink Fairy Cottage. I've missed you so much this winter. I am so sad that you are sad and lonely and wish that I could come and visit you. I would be happy to just sit on the floor.

Take heart, little cottage, within a short month you will feel beautiful once again, with gorgeous pink flowers popping out, little birdies hatching and learning to fly and the twins running over for a visit.

xoxo!
Christine

Sweet Cathy... you crack me up!! How ingenious to speak for your Pink Fairy Cottage! Did she happen to mention she thinks your friend Michelle is "SWELL"~ I know she's depressed, but remind her each day by showing her how famous she is in ALL of the magazines! I know, when the lights go down, and the audience leaves, she always needs more, but there will be more performances in her future, that you can assure her of!

Gorgeous as always, you have the perfect blog! (((M)))

pssst.. visit mine, "YOU'RE IN THE SPOTLIGHT" MY SWEET!

Cathy, I too know just how the cottage feels! I miss the pinks and lavenders of the flower beds! I miss my pink porch chairs! I miss color outdoors period! The only thing I'll miss more this summer is sitting on the porch in the evening with my youngest, he leaves for the Air Force in July! Hope my flowers can wipe away those tears! Lori

A make over....how fun!

I too am anxious for the birds to sing, the grass to turn green again, the flowers to bloom and the sun to shine!
It's dreary and gloomy here!

Dear Little Pink Fairy Cottage....My heart hurts for you to hear that you are so lonely. From looking at the photos that your owner, Cathy, shared with us, I can now totally understand your thoughts....there you are, sitting at the end of the empty garden path, nestled against the sparce woods. If it makes you feel any better, YOU are the bright spot in the garden right now. Soon there will be all kinds of beauty around you and plenty of laughter, birds, squirrels and other friends to play with. Just be patient and then you can throw open your doors in excitement! Hugs to you little one,
Becky

Hi Cathy,
Great post!
I was thinking similar thoughts yesterday when I was starting to clean up my yard and plant springs first flowers, My arbor my equvilant to your little cottage is my pride and it looks so sad with the mold that has developed over the damp winter and lack of sun, dead leaves that never got racked away and dead hostas not quite back to life yet. but spring is here and were on our way!
oh by the way hubbie got those carts with drawers at Target!
he is always trying to organize me!
Smiles,
Sandy
