Just when you think to yourself "Does what I do really matter"... one of these amazing emails drops in your In Box and you are forever grateful.

This one arrived today, so I am going to share it with all my treasured friends. BTW, I finally went to the dr. today to get some medicine to kick this terrible flu to the curb. I expect to be well in the morning! lol

Dear Cathy,

Thank you... thank you so very much. My first look at your pink cottage and the items you sell have changed my life and home.

I had lived in a 70's ranch for 32 years (red shag carpet and dark colors). After seeing what could be possible, my fantastic handyman and I will be working together in the next week or so to begin building my dream cottage in my backyard. I've been collecting furnishings for the past months (already have 5 plastics totes full plus a box and a huge stack of pillows) and will have lumber within a week.

I've saved the pix of your cottage plus a large notebook of ideas for painting and decorating this "Big Girl" playhouse. I can hardly wait. Hopefully, I will chronicle the construction, decoration, and enjoyment of my fairy rose cottage through photos.

Thank you again for all of your inspiration.

Kay Simpson

I bet she will just live in her big girl house and forget the ranch house all together.

Hope you feel better!

Cathy,

That is such a great email to receive!

It often makes no difference what type of homes we live in ...just so we make our homes a reflection of ourselves and what we love in life.

You have done that and that is why you are an inspiration to so many including myself.

I have followed your journey for a long time even before I started blogging as you were featured in many of the magazines that I purchase and love!!

And through blogging, I got the chance to actually "meet" you and for me, What a thrill!!

Debbie

It's caring notes like that from people who truly appreciate what you do that makes it all worthwhile. Every time someone says something nice about what I've created, I am so humbled and thankful. The note you received was so well deserved. Enjoy your healthful (I hope) weekend! Theresa
