Meet "BRIGITTE". I JUST LOVE HER! I hope you do too!

I just finished my newest "vintage dressform". All dolled up in vintage ruffles, pink tulle, and a hand-created rose necklace and a pink satin sash. Her shoulders are wrapped with a vintage crocheted shawl and rose embellished crystals clip onto her wrap and her waist where more vintage lace is used to finish the look of this lovely, One-of-A-Kind ~ "Lady".

"VINTAGE VANITY SET ~ GONE GLAM"

I thought I would give it a go at trying to make some hand built roses. I was having so much fun, I just kept making them.

A lovely vanity set had the perfect place to add these pastel pretties. Although the Perfume Bottles and Jewelry Box had roses embossed on them already, I thought adding my own roses would give it a special touch. Once finished, I softly added creamy white paint to the entire set, giving it what I like to call the "Ice Cream" look.

Unfortunately pictures do not do this set justice. I took them about a hundred times. Inside and outside the house. This was the best I could do. I hope you enjoy my newest treasure. You can find it HERE if you are interested in purchasing it.

THE ENCHANTED VALLEY BOUTIQUE

Silena of "The Enchanted Valley Boutique" had a blog contest last week. She had several stunning photos of fields of lavender. One of my absolutely favorite plants and scents. We had to guess what country she was in. LUCKY ME, guessed it correctly (she was right here in the Good Ole. USA?)

Look at the abundance of Lavender treasures I received in the mail last week. I can't begin to tell how wonderful it was receiving this amazing box of Lavender goodies.

I opened my brown box to a gorgeous Lunch Box style Gift Box. Once inside I found beautiful pink and purple tissue paper wrapped around gobs of treasures. She sent me a "Lavender/Flaxseed" scented fleece Eye Mask in a beautiful lavender organdy bag. Next was a bar of "Lavender Hollow Farm" Handmade Soap. OMG!!! I could eat it, it smells so good. Next was a purple velvet drawstring sachet filled with Lavender for me to tuck in amongst my p.j.'s. I just love to go to bed smelling fresh as a garden! lol


Then there was a bottle of my ABSOLUTELY FAVORITE scent "Lavender/Rose" Hand and Body Lotion. Last, but not least... a lovely ceramic holder to fill with another wonderful pouch of fresh "Lavender buds".

Now ladies, tell me I'm not the luckiest lady on the planet right now?

THE GIRLHOOD HOME COMPANION

Several months ago the Publisher of "The Girlhood Home Companion" (Jill Novak) contacted me and asked if I would be kind enough to let them use the inside photos of my "Pink Fairy Cottage. She explained that one of their writers would be doing an article called "The Most Wondrous Place". When they told me her name, I was tickled pink! I knew her!!! It was my friend Theresa from Cottage Violets.

Theresa is probably one of the most talented writers I've ever known. That being the case, I said "YES!" immediately to the request. The photographs below are the cover and the article Theresa wrote. It is stupendous if I do say so myself.

The background collage looks very light, but it is the actual color in the magazine. It is soft, pretty and so dreamy. I am once again honored to have my "Pink Fairy Cottage" featured in a magazine.
